Terms and Conditions of Entry. 2021
Glow in the Park in these terms and conditions are called the “Event Organizers”
These terms and conditions apply to all participants who have tickets and are taking part in an event organized by Glow in the Park. In these terms and conditions participants will be referred to as "Participants" or “you”. By purchasing or holding tickets to a Glow in the Park event you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. All participants must be above 6 years of age by the 1st day of the event. All 16 and under year olds must be accompanied by an adult who is at at all times responsible for them
2. You are responsible for reading the details and description regarding the event contained on the website and any other information that may be sent to you by the Event Organizer. You agree that you clearly understand what ability is required and what is entailed in participating in the event. The event is a fun run held at night in the dark. Some areas are lit but the majority of the course is in the dark. Paths, tracks, and grass surfaces are used for the course and there might be some natural undulations in the ground and some broken surfaces underfoot. You must wear a working head torch when taking part in the event and agree on maintaining a vigilant observation of the path in front of you
3. The registration fee (ticket fee) must be paid in full at the time of registration
4. Tickets purchased without the 'Refund Protect' package are not refundable by the organizers for any reason including but not limited to, you no longing wishing to, or not being able to participate in the event
5. All applications for refunds for tickets purchased with the additional 'Refund Protect' are to be made to
6. The Organisers are not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by you
7. Entries can be transferred to another participant. You do not need to email the event organizers about this
8. The Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel your participation in the event you will be refunded your entry fee minus 20% administration costs
9. All arrangements for the event, including the venue, date, and program may be subject to change
10. You are responsible for ensuring that you have taken your own medical advice and that you are medically fit and healthy and have undertaken appropriate training and preparation to participate in the event
11. You are responsible for taking out suitable personal insurance cover for your participation in the event
12. You agree that you participate in the event at your own risk, and accept that the Event Organizers cannot be liable to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any personal injury sustained by you in any way or loss or damage to any personal property as a result of your participation in the event
13. You must abide by any rules or regulations of the Event that may be notified to you by the Event Organizers or the venue owners at any point leading up to or at the Event
14. You must show respect and courtesy towards other participants and spectators. If you behave in any manner which is, in the Event Organizers opinion, poor sportsmanship or a risk to the safety of any other participant, spectators or anyone else in attendance at the event this may result in you being disqualified from the event and removed from the venue
15. You are responsible for the safekeeping of your own personal possessions and those of any spectators you may bring to the event. Personal possessions left unattended at the venue in any facilities provided or otherwise are left entirely at your own risk
16. The Event Organizers are not responsible for any third party organisations that may be providing other services at the event. You use any such services at your own risk
17. If access to the published course is restricted for any reason an alternative route will be used
18. If the event has to be postponed for any reason, the Event Organizers will endeavour to arrange an alternative event, and you will be notified of the new date and venue of the rearranged event. These terms and conditions will continue to apply to the rearranged event. No refund will be given if you do not wish to or cannot participate in the rearranged event. Travel costs will not be refunded if the event is re-scheduled. If the event is postponed the Event Organizers shall not be liable for any costs, losses or damages incurred by you. Ticket fees will not be refunded by the Organizers. See '21. Entry Refund Protect' for exemptions
19. You agree to photographs and video being taken at the event and that any images of you may be used by the Event Organizers in any media regarding the event and to market and advertise the event or any other similar events
20. By purchasing tickets to the event you are agreeing to any data provided being used by the event organisers, Glow in the Park and their partners (See below for a full list of partners) to process your participation in the event and send you details only regarding the glow in the park event. We and our partners would like to keep you up to date on news and offers, to receive this information you must tick the opt-in button on the purchase page. We will all abide by the Data Protection Act
21. Entry Refund Protect. This is offered by the Event Organizers to all ticket purchases at a price of 10% of the total ticket fee. You agree to the following conditions: Only available to purchase at the same time as the event tickets. Only effective until the 24 hours before the date of the event, after which no refunds will be issued. The charge of 10% of the value of the tickets is not refundable, only the paid price of the tickets is refundable. Group tickets can be partially refunded at a 'per head' cost. Applications for a refund can only be made by the original person who purchased the tickets from the glowinthepark.co.uk online ticket portal and refunds will only be made back to the same card that was used to make the original ticket purchase.
22. You understand the nature of the event and that it is not suitable for anyone that suffers from any conditions induced by bright, flashing lights or loud music. The event is not suitable for epileptic suffers
